North Carolina Racializes Preschool Educator Professional Development:
Misuse of Federal IDEA Grant Funds by UNC Frank Porter Graham Child Development Institute & NC Department of Instruction
During 2021 and into 2022 significant controversy arose regarding Critical Race Theory (CRT) indoctrination in NC schools by school administrations, teachers, state educational agencies and state officials at the highest levels. A public records request initiated by No Left Turn in Education from UNC resulted in numerous internal emails, communications, and documents detailing plans, conversations, and intentions of officials within the NC educational hierarchy to suffuse the public educational system with CRT.
