Story:

The school district superintendent sent out an email explaining how Black history month shouldn’t be confined to just one month. To that I agree, however he crossed the line when he started to discuss how we should feel discomfort when learning of the oppression of black people within our communities and needing to learning the meaning behind “white privilege”. Furthermore he went on to discuss addressing social issues around criminal reform, lgbtq, immigration, and other social matters. I will post the email he sent, and my reply (which was never responded to). We are no longer in the school district of the state of indiana.
